Mindfulness and meditation has fostered an increase in my psychological and spiritual wellness because without these two processes mentally I would not be able to settle my mind and solve problems easier. Being able to sort through priorities and solve them accordingly is amazing. These practices in my life has made the greatest health and wellness benefit I've ever experienced.
"One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself", is a simple concept but I viewed it two different way by two different classmates. One typed it like it is written and that can't show someone how to do something if you have not done it yourself. And the other typed going somewhere mentally, that special place and making meditation a part of your life will benefit you and the experience, experienced will help others achieve those same goals. God only help those that help themselves.

Hi Warren,
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you responded to the second part of this blog. I was one who answered it in the sense of how can you expect someone else to do what you haven't done before, but the way you put the second part about meditating and taking yourself somewhere else can benefit myself and others around is definitely a great way to look at the quote. It make sense because if you can dig deep inside and take care of yourself and able to accomplish your goals then you can definitely help others do the same.

Hello Warren,
ReplyDeletevery interesting view on the first part never really thought of it that way but that is what I like about this class I can learn and see things from a different perspective. Which can only help me grow as an individual. thank for your post
I am a work in progress when it comes to meditation, but I do like the benefits when I carve out the time to do it. Prioritizing can be difficult, and that is great that you are reaping such benefits! I enjoyed reading your blog post!
ReplyDeleteHello Warren,
ReplyDeleteI think that the quote "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" means that unless you have done something, you can't lead a person to do the same thing. For instance, if we don't experience meditation and other parts of integral health, we will not be able to guide our patients down that path.
Great blog, Warren. Very thought provoking.
