Hello everyone again!!! This BLOG involves the Love and Kindness. The MP3 playing was very informative but I need more sessions to feel the full affects. I tried to go to the places and be relaxed as one but it's like I'll be there but loose focus. Need more practice to get the full benefit. Recommending this to others I will do but getting them to do them maybe difficult. Everyone seems to have their own ways of relaxing and change is a problem we have as people in the U.S.

ReplyDeleteThis recording was a eye-opener for me. For one to truly love and devote oneself to others, they must possess the attributes of loving-kindness for themselves before giving it to others. When we attract loving-kindness, our mind is calmer and we become a better candidate for contemplative practice to others. Each individual self-perspective on life varies simultaneosly, and by listening to this recording I was able to awake my innermost feelings.

ReplyDeleteThis exercise was a little different for me than the other ones we have had to do. At first it was hard for me to focus on this activity. I was able to finished and comprehend it after my second attempt. Did you find any particular part of this assignment to be more challenging? What's your take on the mental workout?
I am glad to see I am not the only one! Sometimes it seems I am the only one who has trouble relaxing. I have gone through this several times now in different classes. Last week, during the light exercise, was I believe the first time I was able to achieve actual relaxation during a guided mental workout. This week, I was back to the same old me...I was not able to relax, or even pay attention. I felt myself very distracted!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest these mental workouts to people. However, they will have to find one that works for them! They are not all one in the same.

ReplyDeleteYou are correct everyone has their own way of relaxing. I started meditating during my first visit to the toilet in the morning, (I know too much information), but this is for real. Not allowing someone to dictate when and where you must close your mind in order to get the negative out and replace the positivity. Continue your journey it is well worth it.
